Hi all, I have been having problems with a program I use alot (Flight Simulator 2000) crashes often. I have located the Dr Watson log, and need to know if there are any sites/utilities that can decypher the useless (to me) information it gave me :) It is quite a long entry so best I dont post it here, but perhaps there may be something in there I should be looking for. The opening line on the error message is:

Application exception occurred: App: (pid=1288) fs2000.exe When: 26/01/2002 @ 21:27:45.878 Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)

    Thanks for any help.

the microsoft knowledge base will provide you the best results in looking for errors with their software.
Have you tried reinstalling Flight Sim yet?

Hi Eric, thanks for your reply.Yes I have had a sniff around the knowledge base and also around google groups prior to posting, but nothing definative. I have tried it online and offline (flying) and tried the process of elimination, as there are several programs that are designed to run in cognito with FS, but no joy. The really annoying thing is that sometimes I can be flying for almost 4 hrs before it crashes. Well ill try an install again. Its funny also that I have FS98 installed in its own directory, and that never crashes. I do tho, often, hehe. Thanks for the reply again
