I think you are going to find that you are infected with a virus, such as Klez, or a Trojan.

Use this online Virus Check to confirm.

If you are not running an antivirus program, for whatever reason, I would invest in one. If you are, it would appear that your definitions are badly out of date.

    ALP Welcome aboard.

Then you may have to try repairing or reinstalling IE.
To repair follow these directions from MS.
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;194177

To reinstall: If you have a disk with a current version of IE then please use that otherwise you can download the most current version of IE.

    Hope this helps

The reason I posted the suggestion was because this error apperared in another thread, and the poster discovered 3 virus/trojans when he did a Housecall AV run.

After cleaning them out, he was fine.

Try the IE fix, it won't hurt anything.

If the problem is still there, get a second opinion at HouseCall.

You should also do a SpyBot scan to confirm that Spyware is not causing the conflict.

The repair didnt work, I did run the home repair and it detected 2 trojans and when I went to delete them it denied me saying they were in use. The debug says its the IE so Im gonna go through netscape to run house call and see if it lets me due to the fact that I wouldnt be using the IE.

I'm not sure if the NS route is going to be of any help or not.

The trojans most likely can't be deleted because they are active (running) in your system.

If you post back the names of the detected trojans, we can provide you the manual instructions for removal.

If one of them is Klez, here is a removal tool

    If Troj_Sua, then removal instructions

What are the file names that show as infected?
Generally the files infected by trojans and worms are not Windows files, but rather the trojan themselves.

You can try running MSCONFIG > Startup Tab and Unselecting the identified files. Then, after the reboot deleting them.
