    Hello,
Yesterday and today I suddenly received this message while opening a web page at: http://www.jigzone.com/z.php?1E5KCG3X2505892ECE

    Message received:

    Debug Assertion Failed!
    Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
    File: c:\program files\microsoft visual studio.net 2003\vc7\atlmfc\include\atlwin.h
    Line: 815
    Expression: ::IsWindow(m_hWnd)

For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts
(Please retry to debug the application)

Then an error report window comes up, and won't let me even try to retry.
I have no idea where the Visual C++ documentation is and I am totally baffled by this problem. It has just started happening. If I had never visited Jigzone before, I would start thinking that caused it, but I have been visiting there every day for their daily jigsaw puzzle for many months and this never happened before yesterday morning.

The only thing I remember doing before Saturday is that Windows Update ran and installed the latest updates Friday some time. But I doubt that would have anything to do with it.

Any help or suggestions? I would like to know and understand what is going on here if possible, and why, and how to correct the problem if possible.

Thank you for any help, ideas or suggestions.

In Internet Explorer, go to Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab. Check "Disable Script Debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about every
    script error," click OK.

The "debugging" and "script notification" features are really only of use to web page developers checking to make sure their pages are working correctly.

    Hello Miz,

I had Disable Script Debugging checked for (other) but not for Internet Explorer.

I alread had the box UNCHECKED for "Display a notification about every script error. "

Anyway, not sure this will take care of the problem, because it never occured before and I still don't understand what is causing it to happen now. But I have checked the box for "Disable Script Debugging for Internet Explorer" now, so we will see.

Thank you very much for your prompt response.

Well, after doing the second suggestion, the problem still persisted. So last night I ran each one of my spyware programs, separately of course. This morning when I went to do my daily jigsaw (the site where this was occurring) the problem did not happen. So I must assume it had to have been something left on my computer by a spying website or whatever.

So far, so good for now anyway!

Thank you for trying to help.
