    Hi

I am using Mcfee Virus scan. I have an NTL broadband internet connection. This is all running on Windows 2000.

My virus detection keeps finding the Deborm.worm virus. I delete the infected file and all is ok for a little while. Then the Virus detection finds it again, delete, rinse and repeat. I have to keep doing this every few hours or so.

Its driving me nuts  specially as it is kicking me out of the games I play.

So I have a few questions about this little nasty virus  .

How is it getting back onto my system after I have deleted infected file through antivirus?

Is it coming through my broadband connection, I do not have a firewall active, would this stop the virus constantly attacking me?

Is it infecting my register, the antivirus says that it cleans the hooks from the register, but I wonder if it is, how can I easily check if it is not in my register.

I believe that the virus once it is on my computer starts to drop on other viruses, sometimes I get warnings about other Viruses, I delete these infected files as well, how does this all work?

All information about this nasty, greatfully recieved.

    Thankyou in advance.

    Hi Vortigen Wolf
Have you tried using the fixtool for it?

You might also want to do a free online scan at housecall.
