dead monitor

KDS monitor,17 ".Will not turn on.Power cable checked ok on another monitor.What further check can I make before sending it for repair?

If it is under some kind of warranty I would send it in and not touch it as you
would have to open it up and that would
void a warranty.

It might be easier and cheaper to just buy a new one

May be simple

You probably have already checked this, but I have 3 KDS 17" monitors and found the cables need to have a very solid connection to video to work. If it is loose, you can get problems from missing 1 color to the problem you describe. Those monitors will shut down unless they have a signal coming in. Most people push the connectors on the back of their computer and dont bother to tighten the screws. You will want to tighten the screws with these monitors.
