My Abit BE6-II finally died...when I opened the case almost half of the capacitors were bulging with three of those leaking. Anyway, I had W2K on 2 IBM 30gb drives connected to the Highpont 370 controller in Raid 1. Do I need another Highpoint controller to get my data or is there another way? I would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Then take your pick, both drives should have the exact same stuff on them if you were running RAID 1. And, if you were running RAID 1, no, you don't need a Highpoint controller to read either. Now, had you been running RAID 0, you would have an entirely different issue to confront.

    ;)

Rockster2u thanx for responding...are you saying I can connect one of these drives to an IDE controller on my secondary system and get my data?

Yes - set the jumpers to slave and connect the drive as slave to the existing master drive in your secondary system.
