    The motherboards I see for sale either state they are for DDR or that they support PC1600/PC2100. Does this mean that they will also support PC2700? Or, does the board have to specify PC2700 if one wishes to use it? Thanks

    Yea, they are backwards compat. Slam some 2700ddr & if ness the chipset will step it down to whatever "IT" requires.:)

    So, then is the answer that it will not perform at 333MHz with the pc2700 stick unless the motheboard info states as such?
