    1. My clock stops every time I shut off my computer. I have to reset the time when I turn my PC on. What are the possible solutions to this? Does my computer have a battery on the motherboard that needs to be replaced, etc?

Could this have something to do with it. Clock synchronization

    I have a dial-up modem.
