    Hey:

Got a couple of questions we can't seem to find posted before.

    Using Windows XP Pro

When we click on start and then all programs we get a three column list
of programs. They are random by title - not sorted.

Question: is there a way to sort this list?

We install a program and there is a message shortly thereafter saying new programs.

However the program is not listed when we click start and all programs.

All we get is 3 columns of data.

How can we launch the program using start if it does not show?

    Thanks

The first question is this: right click on the list and select "Sort by Name ". The second, sorry, I have no idea...

Problem 2 is due to having personalized menus enabled. (I think). Try changing this setting.

As well, if you have 3 columns being listed (meaning a lot of progams installed), you could make it easier to find things, by creating categores, and then shuffling the programs into the appropriate one.

Examples such as Games, Graphics, Office, Utilities

Then, the first level you would see after selecting All Programs, would be the list of categories, then you would open the appropriate one to find the app you wished to run.
