   I receive a D3D error when launching the game Battleship
   I told I need to have DirectX ver 7.0 or higher.
   Where can I get or purchase latest DirectX version?

   Click on Start->Run and type DXDIAG
   
   At the bottom of the first tab it'll tell you what the current version is.
   
   Can go to Windows update to see if it detects a new version is availble.
