Hello jimbo0706. I suggest you do this first: Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot (v1.3), Ad-aware (build 6.181) All are free and available bellow.

Download Spybot, install, update and run Spybot. Delete all it finds that is prechecked. Then download Ad-aware, install, update and configure Ad-aware for a custom full scan and run, deleting all it finds.
    Full Scan
Click on the Start Button, Tick Use Custom scanning options, Customize
    Scan Within Archives
    Scan Active Processes
    Scan Registry
    Deep Scan Registry
Scan my IE favorites for banned URL’s
    Scan my Hosts file
Under Click here to select drives + folders, choose:
    All of your hard drives

Click on the Advanced button on the left and select:
    Include additional process information
    Include additional file information
    Include environment information
    Include additional object details

Click the Tweak button and select:
    Under the Scanning Engine:
    Unload recognized processes during scanning
Include basic Ad-aware settings in logfile
Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile
    Under the Cleaning Engine:
Tick Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot

Click on Proceed to save the settings.

Click Start and on the next screen choose Activate in-depth Scan at the bottom of the page and then choose:

    Use Custom Scanning Options
Click Next and Ad-aware will scan your hard drive(s) with the options you have selected.

Save the log file when it asks and then click Finish

When finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose Select All from the drop down menu and click Next).

    Reboot your computer.

Next I'd run a RAV online scan, without subscribing. Post results.

Yes BUT what says the xxxtoolbar is a bad thing, I have it to, at that location if it has a dword of 4, it means it is in Internet explorers restricted zone, which is a good thing :)

what program is finding those ?

In other words some antispyware app's target it there but don't know to look for a dword, pest patrol being one of them.

while your in regedit Look here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows double click the AppInit_DLLs entrie in the right side and if the data value box has a Dll in it copy that back here please,, the whole path, exit regedit do nothing if there was one.

Ok thats great No appininit value :)

    Check here about XoftSpy
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showpost.php?p=161853&postcount=4

Meanwhile I think the problem might be in your proxie settings, you will have to check. Perhaps in SlipStream's option, and Internet options,
so after the below you might need to reset them.

Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items,
Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs that show in the taskbar. (even Folders) Then Hit fix checked.
