I have both Google Toolbar and Yahoo Toolbar installed, however, I prefer to use the Google Toolbar and use the Yahoo Toolbar only for it's function for the Norton's Anti-Spy scan. I also have roboform toolbar on my IE page.

Here's the problem, when I use the option to customize the IE toolbars, Roboform is actually Google and Google is Yahoo and Yahoo is RoboForm

In other words when I customize my IE toolbar in order for Roboform to show I have to select the Yahoo Toolbar, For Google I have to select the Roboform Toolbar and for Yahoo I have ro select the Google Toolbar.

How do these things get so messed up and how do I fix them? Also, I do not have Yahoo selected to use on IE but everytime I open an IE page yahoo is there.. Why???? I know I can uninstall one of them and resolve this issue but I like the Google toolbar better and like I said only want the Yahoo Toolbar for the Spyware scan feature and that does not resolve the mis-named toolbars in the right click options.

This is minor and not OS threatening, was just curious.

whompuscat--I had something similar a little while ago. I think uninstalling one of the programs and then reinstalling got the Toolbar right click options to work properly again. It might be best to Unlock the Toolbars before doing this.
    But I might be mis-remembering.

    Remove the Yahoo toolbar.

    Install (free) Ewido: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

. After thirty days install (free) Microsoft Windows Defender for an active Spyware scanner.
. After thirty days manually update and manually scan your system for Spyware with Ewido when the need arises.

Yahoo in the past has disabled any adware scanning in its Toolbar anti-spyware applications to avoid conflicts with its advertisors.

Jim, I will try your suggestion.

Bill, I already use ewido and love it. Just think never have too many programs to find all those little spys.

I will uninstall and reinstall and see what happens.

I believe you can feel comfortable without the Yahoo Toolbar crippleware.

Use Windows Defender as the active scanner or Ewido paid.
Depending on your active scanner, use the other utility as a passive scanner and keep it up to date.
Add Lavasoft Adaware Personal, passive, and keep it up to date.
