I bought a fancy new track ball for myself as a present after I broke my arm. I set up all the features, and realized I had to click on each window to get the window in focus to use the wheel. So I poked all around in XP trying to restore that feature- hover the cursor and gain focus on the window- and finally remembered where it was. TweakUI Powertoys for Windows.

BTW, I have both versions of this program on my XP, and they both have different features. I have never had any conflicts by installing them both, even though everywhere I've seen the two TweakUI versions available for download, it was advised to uninstall the old version first.

Anyway, just thought I'd remind you all how to get your window focus, if you have forgotten how or never knew you could!

Or, if you'd rather get them directly from Microsoft, TweakUI 1.33; TweakUI 2.10 (XP).

Like Johanna, I've always run the two versions side by side on XP Pro, with no conflicts. For someone used to using v1.33 with Win9x, though, you'll find that the very same program has far more options on XP than it does on 9x. Also, although there are still thirteen tabs, 9x's Add/Remove and Boot tabs have been replaced by Open and CMD on XP.
