    Hi,

Ever since I installed NS 7.1 my cursor stays a cursor instead of changing into a pointing finger when I'm on a link. The links turn a different color and I can click and go. But some links don't change color and it makes it difficult to distinguish if it's a link or not.

    Any ideas?

    OS: WinXP Pro.

    Thanks.
    Chris

Is it just one particular website? or all links?
Some webmaters like to trick visitors.

    Hi Antony,

No, it's everywhere; all sites and links.

    hmm,
Have you checked the Windows Control Panel? the Mouse and the Pointer...
Next I will assume you did not apply anything to your self, such as in userContent.css.
So try create a new Netscape user account and see if it still exist.

If still, then I can only suggest you to re-install Netscape 7.1 again.

    Hi Antony,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I checked where you said and nothing had changed. My default for the pointer was a regular cursor and it would change to a pointing finger when I was on the web, but nowhere else; which is exactly as I wanted.

However, when I downloaded IE6 (SP1) Security Updates, there must have been something in the patch that caused the cursor to do what IT wanted to do and not me.

So, I reset the Link Select to the system default and my pointing finger is back. But it's back everywhere else on my system, too. I only wanted it for the web and nowhere else.

Oh, well, thanks "Uncle Bill. "

    And, thank you, Antony :D
