Cursor Crisis

When typing my cursors disappears (blinking vertical bar). Sometimes it jumps up or down several lines other times it just disappears. Other times a new screen pops up.

I use windows XP (oh oh screen disappeared), IE 6.0, office 2000, outlook. My anaylsis at the moment cannot pin this problem to a specific software program such as Outlook or Word as it happened while preparing this message also.

Am not sure I posted this on correct board but have faith someone will either help directly or steer me to another source.

Problem occurred at least 6 times while preparing this message.

Take a look at this Technet article about hardware acceleration. I think you may find ideas for a fix in it.

 

I have the same problem. Especially in with my XP in Word or Outlook Express. I do a lot of typing for schoolwork and end up cursing my cursor. I will attempt to use this "fix / install" in the previous reply and let you know how it goes.
I am using xp on a Gateway Laptop.
