I installed the June 2003 cumulative patch to IE 6 SP1 and now every few mins I get the dreaded box "IE has experienced a problem ". I send the report (to whom I don't know) and then IE shuts down. It happend twice just while trying to send this message. Anyone know the cause and fix?

I don't believe that the cumulative update is the cause of your problem. I installed it and have had no adverse effects. The next time the box pops up click "details" and see what the error message is. Then maybe someone will be able to help you.

The 1st message I get is "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienience." I the click on "Send Error Report ". I go to the next screen and it has the Error signature as follows: AppName: iexplore.exe, AppVer: 6.0.2900.1106, ModName: mshtml.dll, ModVer:6.0.2900.1170, Offset: 00064430 ". Screen 3 says "The following information about your process will be reported. "Excpetion Information, Code "0xc0000005 Flags: 0x00000000, Record: 0x0000000000000000, Address: 0x0000000063634430." " There is more information re: System Information and Module 1. If you can help I would appreciate it. Maybe there is a way of re-installing IE 6 without having to do a complete reinstall of XP?

CaptainBart--The Internet Explorer Repair Tool might help and you have nothing to lose by trying it. However, if you run WinXP, it may not be available to you.
    Start|Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Information|Tools|Internet Explorer Repair Tool|Wait. Reboot.
One of the things it does is re-register your mshtml.dll file. Of course, that can be done in other ways, but the Tool is simple to use.
