ctrl+alt+del help please

    Hi every one ,thanks in advance for any help here
    i have a windows 2000 server with 8 windows 2000 Professional
    now how can i set default on the server after 5 or 10 minuts to lock automatically so next person see the computer will need to log on again using name and password of course.
    if this is posible how can i make a default on all the computer from the server

    Don't know if you can do it from the server. But if you go into Control Panel->Users & Passwords->Advanced Tab you can activate the lock..

    One thing you can play with is create a batch file with the following line of code:

    rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

    Then whenever run will lock the workstation. You could maybe place it in the start up or create a scheduled task and have it run when ever computer logs in or something. Play around with it. You might be able to come up with something.

    I have wondered about this too. Is it possible to set an auto-lockdown in group policy for a whole domain? Nobody here ever remembers to lock their workstation.

    The simplest way may be to use a password on the screensaver and set policy to restrict access to the display applet.
