    I have been doing some homework to cretae an unattended installation CD and thought it best to start with a slipstreamed CD of XPSP1a and as many hotfixes as possible (or until my patience runs out).
    For the slipstream, I was at this tutorial;
    http://www.windows-help.net/windowsxp/winxp-sp1-bootcd.html
    And for the rollups & hotfixes I was here;
    http://www.windows-help.net/windowsxp/winxp-sp1-bootcd-2.html

    My question is that these are aimed towards XPSP1, and the rollup itself will be different. So the batch file that is downloaded on the second page I listed, is that so out of date that it should not be used, or are there still only a few changes to be made?

    I think the author of both those pages is our forum admin, Arie. If so and if you can wait a few hours (or maybe even a day) he can probably give you a really solid answer.

    Otherwise, I'd say it is worth doing even though there will certainly be some later/additional items.

    At this point with SP2 due out soon, might make sense to just wait for it unless you have lots of machines to stage right now.

    Hi,

    Yup, Newt is right.

    The "rollup" update is dated, but still gives you a "shortcut" to some fixes that will be required if you only slipstream SP1.

    At this point in time I wouldn't slipstream SP1, I'm expecting SP2 out within the next 4-8 weeks.
