Trying to make a bootable CD from a 2 floppy disk boot process...
I'm using NERO 6 and don't know how to span 2 floppies onto 1 bootable CD. Can't get an answer from them either...
    Figured I'd try here.

    Anybody have instructions?

Might try coping the disks to your hard drive into seperate folders. Then burn the contents of the folders to cd.

I use Nero software and it has a selection to make a bootable CD.

I only have one floppy and it is put in the A: drive and then Nero makes a bootable CD from it.

Put the files on the hard drive and use your burner software to make an ISO image of the files. Then use the burner software to make a bootavble cd and you should be able to select floppy or 'from image'. Use the newly made image.

I've tried each of the suggestions, but for some reason the program contents of floppy 2 don't show up on the CD.
At one point, wish I remember what I did, the program shows up on one computer (on the cd) but when I boot from the CD it doesn't show! (shows on other computer already booted)
I've read about different standards for writing bootable CD...maybe that's the problem.

    I'll keep trying!

I'm not sure how to explain this but I'll give it a try. For lack of a better way of putting it, when you create a bootable cdrom, it makes an "image" of the bootable floppy and the computer boots from that image. I don't have Nero so I don't know just what files it writes to the disk but if you use Easy CD Creator and choose to make a bootable disk it immediatly adds two files to the cd project. They are bootcat.bin and bootimg.bin. You then add other files to the project, put a bootable floppy in the floppy drive and burn the disk. The files contained on the bootable floppy (not those on the second disk) will be written to the bootimg.bin file and that is what the puter will boot from. If you add no other files to the cd, when you're done burning it all you'll see (in windows) on the cd are the two .bin files. If you boot from the disk and at the a: prompt, type dir, you'll see the contents of the floppy boot disk you used to make the disk (because that's what the burning program uses to make the bootable disk). In order to see any other files you copied to the disk before burning it, you have to change drives. At the a: prompt type d: or e: or whatever drive letter your cdrom is. Then type dir and you'll be able to see the other files (the contents of floppy 2) that you copied to the cd. In order for this to work though, you have to make sure the bootable floppy you used to make the disk, loads a driver for your cdrom. Otherwise you'll get an error when you try to change to that drive. What program is it you're trying to make the bootdisk for? Maybe you can edit the autoexec.bat to call the appropriate files from your cdrom drive instead of it looking for a second disk in the floppy drive?????
