    1) Someone kindly direct me to the steps to be taken to open a new folder in Netscape? I looked all over for this option and for the life of mine I couldn't find any. I need to organize my emails and thought folders will keep them neat.

    2) Also, I searched and read some of the answers to "opening attachment" problems, but am a little confuse. When I receive an attachment, I click on the paperclip icon and nothing happens ever!

    Thanks very much! Adela

    Welcome to the Forum!

    Hi Adela,

To create a new folder in Messenger:
    File|New Folder

On your attachment problem, is this with all attachments received, or only specific senders? It could be a problem with the sender's configuration.

Make sure that Netscape is set up to view images itself. You can do this by selecting the Edit|Preferences|Applications. Scroll down the list and look for one that says JPEG Image. Highlight it and click on the Edit button.

The important thing is to make sure that the Navigator radio button is selected in the Handled By area. This configuration should also be checked for the GIF Image file type as well.

Post back if you have more questions.

    Create Folder | Open Attachments

Thanks a lot, Ramona. I'll try this as soon as I can go where this computer is. I'm trying to help this friend of mine at work at least with the basics, but when she's asked to do something complicated, like attachments, columns, etc. I try to get the help from wonderful forums like yours. I can't try it at my computer because I have different browser, Word version, etc. But I must find out exactly what version Netscape she has, and I know she has MS Office 2000 but don't know yet what type of Windows she has.

Next week I'll go to help her and try out your good advice. If I get stuck, may I contact you again? Once more, thanks so much!
