Crazy Problem. need Windows 3.1 os

My office found some (special-program) require run on Windows 3.1, but my office computer runing windows XP and P4 computer,
if found windows 3.1 is succss run it ?

You can probably find a copy of Windows 3.1 on eBay.

I know that sometimes folks have trouble running old games on newer systems, I don't know if Windows 3.1 will run ok on a P4 system or not.

There is also something called virtual machine for windows XP professional. I have never used it, so I don't know how it works. You could research to see if you could use the XP virtual machine to run the dos based windows 3.1 on your XP machine. You might be able to get some comments about that in the Windows XP forum.

I think you might also look carefully at whatever tasks you are trying to do and see if there is some other, more current, software besides this windows 3.1 based package that would do those tasks for you.

Highly doublt it.
You most likely will have to install perhaps windows 95 on an older ( pentium , pentium 2 era computer)
Perhaps windows 98

In rummaging through old software I found my original copy of Windows 3.1. It's a set of 7 DS/HD 1.6 Mb 5-1/4 inch floppys. I would be glad to make a copy and send it to you. I don't remember whether it is copy protected or not but this long after it was issued I doubt that anybody cares. I doubt that you will be successful running it on a P4 system running XP. Send me an email if you would like the copies.
