crashes

Whenever I click on my favorites tab my whole computer crashes. What can i do to fix this? It only crashes when i click on the favorites tab next to the tools tab. I think thats kinda confusing but its not the favorites tab that has a star on it it's the other one.

 

What operating system are you running? Also, what version of IE?

See if you can run a repair on IE- go to control panel and double-click the add/remove program icon. Scroll through the list to see if Microsoft Internet Explorer is listed. If so, click it once and then click the add/remove tab.
There should be the option to repair IE. If so, run a repair and see if this fixes your problem.

No, you wouldn't find it there if running winxp.

If I was having the problem, I would probably press the other favorites button (the one with the star on it) and then organize my favorites. That is, I would delete any unneeded ones and put the ones I chose to keep into subfolders. I have heard of other problems being caused by having too many favorites, so maybe a good cleaning is in order.
Maybe there is one favorite (perhaps one that you added recently) that is causing the problem.
