I am running win 2000 pro on one of my machines. This exe [winklso] is cranking on my CPU. I have been trying to find out what this progam is and its purpose. Does anyone know anything about this program? Thanks in advance, Taylor.

You have a virus. Use your AV to scan and remove it. If you have no AV software use one of the on-line free services such as HouseCall

It's most likely called W32.Klez.H@mm and more info can be had here.

    Good luck.

taylor - the reason you probably had no success trying to get information is the way this worm behaves.

It copies itself to \%System%\Wink<random characters>.exe
and puts something like the below in the registry into
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    Wink[same random characters] %System%\Wink[same random characters].exe
    WQK %System%\Wqk.exe

You could easily have found WinkAtMe.exe running.
