is cpu speed of Mac and PC the same?

I found that the minimum requirements of Medal of Honour are different. In power Mac, it is 800mhz; in PC it is 700mhz. :D

The processor speed is as quoted in Mhz - regardless of the platform.

The difference between the requirements of PC and Mac to run a particular software program can be put down to differences in the architecture of the processors and syatem.

    minimum requirements and video card?

I have a PC with 733mhz and a TNT2 (16mb) and I can't play a game with minimum requirement of 800mhz. If I upgrade my video card to 128mb, is there a chance I can play that game?

If you are talking specifically of Medal of Honour the system requirements are in several hits here ....

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...q=Medal+of+Honour+system+requirements&spell=1

    From here, for example ....
Clearly no problem with your 733Mhz CPU - Minimum 459Mhz Pentium II, Recommended 700 MHz or faster Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon processor.

Your graphics card meets the min spec for memory - can't comment on the other requirements, but I would imagine that the all important frame rate would be rather slow. I am not a gamer so these things are beyond my ken.
I would not think so - you would still be lacking processing power.

I suggest you hang on in here for any responses from those more familiar with the gaming side of PC's.

Your TNT2 graphics card with 16MB of RAM is at the minimum. You will need a good set of drivers installed.

If you start looking for drivers, start with the motherboard chipset drivers before installing new graphics drivers.

PS Look for a Readme file in the game's folder, it may have information about your graphics card and maybe about reducing settings in the game so that it will be easier for your system to run.

My new card is eVGA e-GeForce FX 5200 128 MB GPU. It is on its way. I hope it will fit my PC and I don't have to update my pc mobo driver. Sounds pretty complicated.

This is from the game readme on improving performance.

Your current machine is at the minimum and you will have to compromise on speed and quality but you will be able to play the game. If you want to run the game with a higher frame rate and decent quality graphics you will need to get a better video card. An upgrade on your TNT2 would not cost much if you can find one.

I was typing while you were posting. I think your TNT2 would be an AGP card, is your new card AGP?

It's easy to install the drivers. The hardest part is to identify the model of the chipset on your motherboard. If the computer is a branded type like a HP, Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc, you will find the drivers at their website. If it is not branded, Everest in my signature could help identify it.

There's always opening the case and reading the model number off the motherboard and identifying it with a websearch.
