Are there any suggestions what to do about ad-ons with internet explorer 8. I have windows XP and while it is 8 years old, is working ok except some hang up and some pages, like portfolio in Yahoo are also slow. If I look at manage, disable or remove your add ons, I'll be darned if I know what to do. Better to just start without add-ons?

Try starting without and see how that goes... If things improve - you'd have to go back and disable them one at a time to find the culprit.

I think it might be best to disable all add-ons and only add those needed. But how will I know where they are needed? Does seem to work better when starting without add ons.

As you surf - you'll probably run across sites wanting/needing the plugins...
