Correcting a constant 1minute pop-up system alert

    I need help stopping a system alert that keeps popping up to get me to buy a spyware cleaner to rid spyware on my system. I have norton internet security on my system and it caught the spyware and removed it. But this pop-up system alert keeps popping up every few minutes telling me that I need to purchase this spyware cleaner. Task manager do not see it and if I right click on it a browser opens for me to buy this spyware cleaner. The same happens if I left click on it. How do I get rid of it. I think it's in the registry but I don't know which key.

    Follow the instructions below and post a HijackThis log into your next post here (copy/paste) ....

    Please download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature and save it to a folder on your hard drive, say C:\HJT - not to the Desktop or a temporary location. When entries are fixed with HJT a backup is made to the folder from which HJT is run and this must be in a permanent location.

    Open the folder in which you placed HJT and double click on hijackthis.exe and select Scan and save a log file - this will be saved in the folder from which you ran HJT - post the log here.
