    Hi,
We have Works Suite 2001 with Word 2000 SR1 for the Word Processor.
When we highlight and copy something that we want to paste in Word, we
cannot paste what we copied if we open the Word program after we highlight
and copy. The Paste command is grayed out. We have to highlight and copy
again after we open the Word Program.
We are running Windows XP Home Edition.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change this?

Are you using right click>copy, right click>paste...left click on copy in the menu, try to left click on paste in the menu? If so try this instead...highlight what you want to copy, hold down ctrl and press "c ", when you are ready to paste hold down ctrl and press "v ". Ctrl + C is the command to copy and Ctrl + V is the command to paste.
