copying music

please can u help?i use my computer for copying music most of the time and have been very successful in doing this in the past through windows media player.i have not changed nothing in the player and now its all gone wrong.when trying to copy music to a blank disc it carries out two tasks as u may know one is the converting process and the other is the copying process.now it only converts the music then copies about 2% of the first song and then says closing disk and then the cd will eject.i do not think it would be the cd writer it self as i have only had the computer for a short while.ive wasted 7 cds now and i am getting very annoyed please please help

 

chris, have you tried to use the Burner Software that came with your Burner like Nero or any of the other popular ones that are available. There are many free ones around too.
Windows Media Player is using a plug in for your main burning Software so try using it witout Media Player.
