We have two email accounts on Comcast. I access one account through Chrome and the other through IE8. The IE8 account has been active for several years. Use of Google Chrome is relatively recent.

I tried to export the IE address book to Chrome, but the "export to" options don't include it. Using Chrome to import from IE doesn't fly either. Any ideas?

I'd also like to get the IE8 address book onto DW's iPad, since she's pulling the e-mails to the iPad from the account that's accessed through IE8..

I'm beginning to wonder whether trying to import/export within the same Comcast account structure is the problem.

Forgive my ignorance, but Internet Explorer does not have an address book that I know of. Are you trying to use the import / export option in IE to move your address book with?

Again, forgive my ignorance if I am misunderstanding your statement here.

Does your Comcast account give you the option to export / import all addresses as a CSV (comma separated value) file? I would think most any email account would support that.

    Doc:

I can change from one account to the other through either browser, but the address book associated with each account is the only one I can access. The header over the mail box is "zimbra" and over the address book is "calendar.comcast.net/ab/contactList/#.

I'll get in touch with Comcast and ask them how to copy over the address book. I had assumed that it was browser-related.

I'll mark this thread "Resolved ".
