    Hi folks,

    Win7

On a text file, .txt, it is possible to high-light and copy a row on a table. But how to high-light and copy a column. TIA

As you've seen - you probably get more then you want...You'll have to delete the stuff you don't want.

If it's a TAB separated text file that looks something like this you can open it in a spreadsheet program like Excel or OpenOffice Calc and copy the column you want.

    Code:
    word word word
    word word word
    word word word
    word word word
With a text editor you can't copy columns.

Back in the good old days of WordStar, there used to be a command for copying & pasting a column. I wonder if its still there in modern word processors.
