    Running WinXP Prof, SP3.

Sometimes when I download something I'm not asked where I want it saved. I then have to do a search to find it. Is there a way I can make a setting that will then have all downloads go by default to a particular folder, like "Downloads "? I could then move it to wherever I want to keep it.

Hi helpseeker. When you download a folder you should be asked whether you want to save or run the file. Click Save and from there you can select where you wish to save the file. If you want to create a folder to put your downloads in, then create a download directory. For example C:/Downloads. Then once you save a downloaded file to that location one time, every other time you save a file it will automatically save in the directory that you specified.
