    Hi,

How do I enable access to all control panels on a win 2000 workstation on a win 2000 server domain.

I've tried promoting the user accounts to local and domain admin, neither make a difference.

The NT clients we have seem unaffected, they can see all the control panels.

It's just a pain in the arse not being able to see the control panels at all, i can't even do a run as on a workstation.

Please help, i'm sure it's something really simple I've overlooked.

Oh yeah and while I'm on the subject how do I remove the option to "remove windows components" from the add/remove programs control panel?

    Thanks,

    Babaton

If this is on a 2k domain, won't it be in the group policy on the Server? If you have access to the server, go to the group policy and uncheck the removal of control panel.

Sorry if this is vague, I'm fairly new to this.

quackbal - good suggestion. The policies can be set either domain or local or both.

If you have domain and local that do not agree, domain will apply even though the local settings won't change. They just won't be active/effective.
