I am using Windows 7 and Office 2007. Just tried to add a new contact, first one since using 2007, and Outlook will not accept a phone number unless I enter the code for the country I am operating from. I know that this might seem a minor irritation, but having paid for software it would be nice if I could use it in the way I want. Surely there must be a way around this.

Enter the area code followed by a space followed by the number ....

    e.g. 01543 2xxxx0 - works for me :)

Apologies for my first post. I enter the phone number the same as you. I assume that I must have missed a setting within Outlook. There was no problem when I installed 2007, it just took all 700 entries from Outlook 2000.
