I recently installed Netscape 7.2 under Windows 2000. I can receive my email with no problems. But can't access web pages. For any URL, I get the message, Connection was refused by (name of URL). I did not have this problem with Netscape 4.79. Any ideas what's wrong and how to solve the problem?

    Welcome to the Forum, sansoo!

    Hi sansoo,

    Check your proxy configuration settings:

    Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Proxies.

Select: "Direct Connection to the Internet"
Unless you do have a proxy setup.

If that doesn't work, then temporarily disable your Firewall, to ensure that it is not prohibiting your browsing.

Post back if you continue to have problems.

Thanks, Ramona. Thought I had checked that, but........

Nonetheless, problem solved. If only all Netscape problems were that easy to solve.
