    Hello,
I have a little problem that has been bugging me for a while. I am running a Win SBS 4.0 network with Win95, Win98 and 2 Win2K clients. I am using one of the 2K clients. I have a few pcs set up with shares that I have full access to for various reasons. If the pc is running Win98 there is no problem in accessing the drive and all files on it. If the pc is running Win95 I can see the pc and the shared resource, but I do not have access any of the files on that pc. If I log in to a pc running Win95/98, I have access. Is there any way, short of upgrading the Win95 pcs to 98, to gain access?

    Thanks.

From win95 to win95 osr2 there was a small jump in networking, win95 osr2 to 98 there was a substantial leap in networking then another but smaller one in 98se.

So try this install netbeui on the 2k machines and on the 95 machines that don't work and set it on those (w95) to be the default protcol.

Still probs then get back to us. In fact let us know either way!

Before I do that, will both/either machines experience any problems with the rest of the network (which is TCP/IP)?

    No!

Tcp will still be there. I did not tell you to remove TCP or anything else only add!
