i am running windows vista home premium, and i have just brought 2 new speakers for my amp (giving me a total of 4)

the problem that i am having is that i can only get two of the speakers to work on my pc, and yet all 4 work fine on the tv.

i have gone through all the setting in the sound options. my amp is an Technics SU-A800. If i change the wiring around, i can still only get 2 speakers to work, it may be a 2 channel amp

    any help would be appreciated

Yes, it is an Integrated Stereo Amplifier.
    http://www.vintagetechnics.stereomanuals.com/integrated/sua800.htm
It will only output 2 channels.

I have two stereo amps connected to one computer, giving me four channels.

Each output on the computer will represent a two-channel output for the front, side or back or a single channel output for a centre speaker or a bass speaker (7.1 channel).

My audio manager tells me which output to connect to, see attachment.

Unfortunately, yes, it will only ever output 2 channels (1 X left and 1 X right). You could try connecting two speakers to one left output and two on the right output, but the Amplifier has to be powerful enough to drive two rather than one speaker (the Watts of output). Even then, it will still be two channel and you will get no "surround" effect.

Around my area there are charity second-hand stores and garage sales, where I have seen decent amps for little expense (people are changing to multi-channel systems and disposing of their stereos).
