    Hi all,

I'm running SM 1.1.17. I went to download a "latest version ". No matter which one I clicked on (1.1.19; 2.0 alpha 1, 2 or 3) I keep getting, "Warning! The SeaMonkey version available for download from this page is outdated and suffers from known security vulnerabilities. We strongly advise you to download the current release instead. "

Then I get directed to 1.1.17.

How can 1.1.19, and the Alpha Releases, be outdated? (again)

Should I stay with 1.1.17 or what?

Yesterday, the latest final version was 1.1.17. I have not gotten anything past it. As for the non final versions of 2.0, I have 2.0b2, i.e. an beta, which is more advanced than a, i.e. alpha. Where did you clicked to get the warning (i.e. website)? This is what I get,.
Non final version would be available as nightly. A nightly a temporary version, which will be replaced soon, but offer no problem to me.

    Hi Westside,

If you look at the bottom of the page from your link, you'll see "Previously released versions of SeaMonkey: * 2.0 Alpha 3 * 2.0 Alpha 2 * 2.0 Alpha 1 * (etc., etc.). And when you click on any of them, you'll get the "Warning... "

    http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.0a1

I take it from what you say that 1.1.17 is the final release?

True, there is a Warning which states that:
The link to the "current stable release ", at the end of the WARNING, is to v.1.1.17.
This is a bit different from what was, originally, said.
As for 1.1.19, there may be, possibly a nightly, but, definitely not a stable release. I tend to download the versions which are not final in the .zip format. They require no installation, and can be simply deleted.

    Hi Westside,

Thank you. It was the "Warning...outdated" that had me confused.
