A little background, what were you doing when you messed up.

You're an experienced user so I hope you understand there's no such thing as a C drive ;).

What software were you using to create an additional partition on your primary/boot drive?

Yes I do know that I dont have a "C" drive heeheehee.
I was attempting to creat a backup system where my secondary drive would be backed up on my primary and visa versa. The problem wasnt the partition. it works fine and as a mater of fact im using it as my boot drive now. i still have a problem with the other partition though. i can boot from it but windows tries to reboot and cant find either the primary or secondary hard drives. if i turn the machine off and back on it will boot. hope this makes since to you cause it sure dont to me.DPI.

We need more info from you.
    How many hard drives?
How many partitions on each drive?
Did you have bootable systems on both drives prior to backing up each to the other drive?
How did you make the backups?

i have 2 drives with 2 partitions on each. both partitions on the primary drive are bootable and neither partition on the secondary drive is bootable. when i boot with the second partition it works just fime but if i boot from the first partition it just dies and tries to reboot but i get the message that windows cant fine either disk. i turn the machine off then on and it boots fine runs for a while then dies again.
