My computer freezes when starting up or rebooting if I leave my Zip drive and/or my external hard drive connected.(both are USB) To remedy this I have to unplug the devices, manually shut the computer off and turn it back on. It then boots up with no problem. None of my other USB devices cause this problem if I leave them plugged in. I'm running Windows XP Home edition, AMD Athlon 2400. Anybody know what's going on?

Check the BIOS setup program for boot order and make it
    1.floppy (if present)
    2. Cdrom
    3. HD0
and turn off (disable) booting by any other device.
You must watch the screen carefully early in booting to see what kestroke(s) get you to the BIOS.
