    Hello:
    We have 3 computers
    1 Windows XP 2003 edition
2 Windows XP current edition(under 6 months old)
    3 a Win 98SE Laptop
The problem is Olympus Camedia Master software(includes Quik Time 4) which came with digital camera, NO LONGER works on Computer #2 whereas it worked a few months ago.
I have tried switching cables, removing and reloading software, but still no luck.I know software good because i only installed it on 3 laptop on Saturday.
The camera Cable attaches to a Serial Port
    Any clues?

Post away with error details - I guess few people use Olympus.

Have you looked for software updates - are both XP computers running the same Service Pack?

Personally I do not use any of my camera makers (Canon) software on a regular basis - I use a card reader to transfer image files to the computer and Photoshop to edit as required.

"Can not connect to the Camera,Please confirm or try the following. "
1 the camera is connected and turned on
    ***it is
    2 Change the port setting
    ***not sure where or how
    3 Lower communication speed

Camera's Mode Dial is set to outer connection mode

    MIR11,

I recently had a very similar problem with my Fujifilm camera. The thing would not be recognized by XP no matter what software I uninstalled and reinstalled. And, yes, it was just on one computer. This is what fixed the problem for me. Go to the Microsoft site and download their Autoplay Repair Wizard found here. Once I ran that, my camera was recognized again and I have had no problems with it. It is worth a try.

If you go into Device Manager > Ports (COM & LPT) > double click on the COM port > Port settings tab you can change the port settings - to what I have no idea.

If you right click on the COM port entry and select Uninstall Windows will redetect the port on boot.

If you have another serial device does it work in the port?

This may be totally irrelevant, but is there a media card in the camera when you connect it?

Beyond that thought I have no others.

When you boot up there is often a message at the foot of the screen 'Press xx key to enter setup'

This may be F1 or Del or some other key or key combination.
