computer buzzes

    computer buzzes several times after going thru system boot then i have to pull plug to shut it down,,this computer is new to me and just arrived today.the seller told me the cd-rom was flaky(won't open)

    Athlon XP 1600+
    New old stock MSI board, KT333 chipset
    384mb pc3200 ram
    300W power supply
    40gb 7200rpm Maxtor hard drive
    Gigabyte Rage Pro AGP video card, 32mb
    Sony cdrom, Mitsumi floppy
    the case is one called simple (stand up lay down )

    Need to open the case and see if you can determine where the buz is coming from.
