Compressed C Hard disk, & other related prob@s

recent scans with Re-image highlighted a Copmressed hard drive as the likely
cause of my random reboots, freezing, and slow running. Checked C drive for compression mode, it was unchecked.AFter several attemps by remote control computer now runs faster but will not shut down and restart function U/S,
I can only shut down using consul ON/OFF button. also my Vipre virus will not load ( have tried new uploads several times) .Is there a way to expand my drive?
