Compress "My Documents"

    "My Documents" occupies 2.82GB of my hard drive. "Advanced Attributes" gives me the option of compressing the contents to save disc space. Are there any downsides to doing this?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

    The docs will take a fraction of a second or two longer to open....You might try a couple large ones and see if the effort is worth it. Some file types are pretty much already as small as they can get.
