    Hi Folks

Just trying to help someone out myself and im relying on you guys/gals to help me now ! :(

He has used MS Works 3.0 on an old Windows 95 based machine for years and has loads of .wps files that he would like to be able to open on a Dell XP based new computer.

Trouble is i cannot get MS Works 3.0 to run on XP even when using the compatibility wizard for 95 / 98 etc

The program loads up fine but the egg timer is continuosly shown upon opening a .wps file previously created.

Although he has gone over to Office XP, is there any way of getting MS Works 3.0 to run or is it a case of having to purchase MS Works 7.0 to be able to read old .wps files?

    Many thanks as ever

    Richard

*.wps files open fine in Word 2003 (not sure which version of Works they were created in, but file date is 1997) - have you tried simply 'Open With' and selecting Word?
