Compaq Printer Colour

I have a Compaq IJ600 printer as a "package" with a 5100AN Compaq Presario computer.

I was surprised that the printer seemed to run out of Magenta so quickly after getting a new cartridge! I'd only printed a few photos. And even when I look at the printer ink levels, all colours seem to look full in the computer display.

...what's going on? I've run the "clean printer nozzels" procedure and no improvement. Even that prints only yellow and cyan stripes of colour.

 

Occasionally, a little dried ink can plug a nozzle. Try pressing the nozzle end of the cartridge into a damp cloth (if that is the type of cartridge you have).
