Compaq MB SW1 switch

    I have a Compaq deskpro, it has a P2 cpu.
    on the inside of the case there is directions for this SW1 switch to set the speed of the cpu from 350 mhz to 500mhz,
    but no matter how I set it, it stays at 350 mhz.

    Does Compaq have this set or is there something else I need to do to make this 500mhz?

    Install a 500Mhz processor then flip the switch! Smile!

    For all I know this is a 500mhz, ....it doesn't say.

    I have another Compaq almost the same, also a P2 ???mhz
    with an SW1 switch to set cpu speed from 233mhz to 400mhz and it works, ..well it will go up to 366mhz, when I set it for 400mhz it shows to be 200mhz ??
