i was added a new mailbox and alias. A new inbox did not appear. I tried to repeat the process but get the error 'user name and password already exist'.

I haven't found the mailbox in the mozilla path. Is there a way to kill the alias and start over? or do I have to kill the profiles as indicated in other threads?

    Welcome to the Forum, unicron!

    unicron,

By "alias" do you mean Profile? I am going to assume that you do, and that you created a new Profile, and created a new Mail Account.

When you look in Windows Explorer, in your Profiles folder, how many profile name folders do you see listed? There should be two: your current profile name, and the newly created profile name. You do have to give each profile a unique or different name. See: Profiles Folder Location for your OS.

Remember that it isn't necessary to create a new Profile just to add a Mail Account. You can add unlimited Mail Accounts in Netscape.

If you want to delete the newly created Profile, do so in the Profile Manager:
    Start | Programs | Netscape 7.1 | Profile Manager

When asked to Delete Files or Don't Delete Files, select Delete Files IF, you have no Mail or other profile data in the newly created Profile.

Netscape and Quick Launch must be closed before doing any editing in Windows Explorer.
