I'm running WIN XP Home and installed Mozilla 1.6 while logged in as administrator. Now I want to create a couple of limited user accounts in XP but I want to use the same email files, bookmarks and address book. I haven't been able to find anything to help.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the Forum, jw_elder77!

    Hi jw_elder77,

Yes, you can move the default location for bookmarks.html. I share my Bookmarks between Mozilla and Netscape, and use C:\Bookmarks for my file location.

You can either edit about:config and to the below script, add the location of the shared Bookmarks.html file.

    Back up your prefs.js file
    Clear the Location bar
In the Location bar type this:
    about:config (no spaces)
For some reason the BBS software adds a space between "about" and the colon ": ", when there should be none...

    browser.bookmarks.file
    Right click this entry
    Select: Modify
    Add: C:\Bookmarks\bookmarks.html
(or the folder of your choice)

    OR

    Close Netscape & Quick Launch
    Back up your prefs.js file

Add this script to the prefs.js file:
    user_pref( "browser.bookmarks.file ", "C:\\Bookmarks\\bookmarks.html ");

You can adjust the script to fit your file location preference for the Bookmarks file.

To the best of my knowledge there is no workaround for sharing the Address Book.

    To share Mail:
Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Account Name | Server Settings
Change the "Local Directory" field to direct the Profile to the appropriate Mail Account with which you wish to share mail.
