When I open a command prompt, it has started opening full screen. Can anyone tell me how to get it back to a window? there is no title bar to click on and reset it.

    Thanks

    Grunty,
Can you hold a left click and drag the sides?

Hold the ALT key down and hit Enter.

Are you using a shortcut to open the command prompt? If so, right click on it, choose properties and where it says "run" make sure "normal window" is selected.

Grunty - are you using command.com or cmd.exe to open the window?

For almost all uses, cmd.exe is highly preferred.

You can also right click the title bar and get a menu, then set the preferred font for all command windows, prefefrred dimensions as well as background color etc.

I always do Run - cmd as well, I don't know how it happened, but in the default properties (right click on the title bar) "Full Screen" had been selected. I have set it back to "Window now.
