One of our users at work has a problem with resizing column width in Excel.

She CAN change the size of a column, then she saves the document and closes it. The next time she opens the sheet, the column width is back to default!

I've looked everywere over the net for some info about this problem, but can't find anything!! Looked through both Office 97 and Office 2000, for some setting that perhaps is overwriting her resizing.

So, now I give up and thought I'd post the question here, to see if someone has experienced the same problem and perhaps has a solution.

    Thanks in advance,
    Legedien

    Thanks alot, Brett!

But I read these articles earlier... and it wasn't the solution of the problem (at first).

I think you're on the right track, though!

I'm thinking... she (the user) says that there's no macros in her excel sheet (that she knows of, I suppose), but still it seems like there's something overriding her settings... like a macro. Perhaps there's some fault in some macro. I think that could be the solution to the problem.

I'm not sure, perhaps it would be easier to simply copy the information in the sheet and paste it in a fresh excel document, with no faulty macros!

That is very interesting! I'll contact the user that has this problem, sometime during the day and try your tip.

I'll let you know what solution we find to this problem later.

    Cheers! :D

Well, the user decided to create a new document and paste all the information there, from the old excel-doc. Problem solved.
